Exceptional Adventures is a nonprofit organization founded in 1978 providing vacation opportunities, events, social gatherings and lifelong friendships for individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities and autism.
Events
Dances, bingos and social events all take place at the American Serbian Club (South Side) unless otherwise noted.
Experiences
Experiences are memorable days or evenings out – enjoying musicals, concerts and other shows, along with dinner.

Matilda and David love to travel. Even more – they love to travel together.
A long-time couple, these two delightful people took their first Exceptional Adventures trip together in March of 2006, during a St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Ohio. For years, they have been making their travel dreams come true, loving every minute of it.
The Exceptional Adventures staff welcomes all kinds of guests at their social events and on their amazing trips. The outings for persons with disabilities are enjoyed by new and veteran travelers alike.
Leland certainly fits into that “veteran” category; he’s been traveling with Exceptional Adventures since 1994.
Leeann has worked as both an office assistant and volunteer with Exceptional Adventures. On top of that, she’s been an Exceptional Adventures traveler for more than a decade. Leeann is fun to work with and easy to like. So, when the opportunity arose to make her dream come true, it was a welcome task.
