Purpose:
The Exceptional Travelers Adventure Fund (Fund) is established to provide financial assistance to persons wishing to engage in events, excursions, and experiences with Exceptional Adventures.
History:
Margaret Muehlman Smyth was the grandmother of Exceptional Adventurers traveler Scott Federbusch. Scott and his grandmother were extremely close and she was grateful for his ability to experience new places safely and with the company of his friends at Exceptional Adventures. After Margaret’s death in 2021, generous members of her family and friends made contributions to Exceptional Adventures in her name. The donors’ intentions were to provide financial assistance to individuals who would like to participate in Exceptional Adventures but lack sufficient funds. These donations are the seed funds for the establishment of the Fund in her memory.
Eligibility:
Anyone with demonstrated financial need who wishes to travel with Exceptional Adventures. A statement of financial need will be required as part of the application.
Awards are 50% of the cost of the event, excursion, or experience.
Total assistance over a two-year period is $500 per person.
