Matilda and David love to travel. Even more – they love to travel together.
A long-time couple, these two delightful people took their first Exceptional Adventures trip together in March of 2006, during a St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Ohio. For years, they have been making their travel dreams come true, loving every minute of it.
“I asked Matilda to be my girlfriend because I had a crush on her,” David explained. The rest, as they say, is history.
Since then, Matilda and David have enjoyed Exceptional Adventures trips to Florida, Niagara Falls, casinos, dances, Amish country and Ocean City, just to name a few.
The couple named Mexico as their favorite trip. David’s favorite parts were the ocean, the pool and the entertainment shows. For Matilda, it was the visit to the aviary.
Always having each other’s best interests at heart, David helps Matilda make healthy meal choices when they travel, as she is diabetic. And when Matilda shops for souvenirs, she’s always on the lookout for frogs – David’s favorite.
When they’re not traveling, David and Matilda enjoy movies, volunteer together at Animal Friends, participate in Special Olympics, visit each other’s families during the holidays and make dinner for each other. They both agree that Matilda is the better cook.
They also agree about what they love most about their experiences with Exceptional Adventures; the first word that comes to mind for both is: fun.
What’s next? “I’d love for us to take a cruise,” explained Matilda. “Just like the Love Boat.”
